How about the loss of fish habitat in natural bodies of water like Lake Fausse Point and Lake Verret due to runoff of sediment from clearing 1,000's of acres of bottomland hardwood and planting sugar cane then building efficient drainage systems to carry rain water and the accompanying dirt directly to the nearest sump.
