Went to the gunshow in Kenner this weekend and had been wanting to build a 300 Blackout for a complete lower that's been in the safe for a couple of years, was looking around and spotted a table with a nice selection of parts and some complete guns and uppers. Now I normally build my own but he had an upper with 1-8 twist spiral fluted barrel that caught my eye at a decent price, the freefloat I did not care for but I have others at home, I offered a price that was a little lower than the asking price and he accepted. The next day I got around to snap this thing together and no go, the handguard jam nut was to far back hitting the forward pin lug so the holes would not line up, it was late and decided to disassemble the next day----when I pulled the hand guard off this is what I found ( SEE PICS)---WOW WOW WOW right now im not going to name the dealer-guy ------but I might later.

OP, makes me curios how that barrel shoots(no markings I assume), and if it's square with the upper receiver.

looked at the pics ... what am I seeing/not seeing?
Left pic - jam nut is way too close to the front lug of the upper receiver
Right pic - gas block is mounted about two inches forward past the gas hole in the barrel
