My EDC is really awesome though: Pen, Knife, Wallet, Car Key, Streamlight Protac 2L. And when I'm in a place where guns are not heavily frowned upon, MP 9c or MP Shield.

Kershaw chive and my wallet. Never really more than 25 yards from my truck at work which has everything else I everything else I could really ever need since I'm too lazy to unpack after trips to the camp.

So it’s been a while. Have you added or subtracted from your edc.
Me, I carry a j frame with at least two reloads a flashlight and some kind of lock back knife and a SAK of some kind. A handkerchief is a must and of course a smartphone with an extremely large monthly bill attached.

I've added a CAT tourniquet and a professional lock pick kit to my EDC backpack. Since I've learned to pick open locks I've used my kit dozens of times for totally legit reasons.

Woo! talk about bringing up an old thread again.
I usually carry something that goes boom, something that cuts things, something to pay for stuff, & something to make my car turn on.

i have and keep a handcuff key on me as well. No particular reason though. However
if you know what you're doing, handcuffs aren't hard to crack open without a key anyway.

I saw someone break a new set of cheap cuffs by pulling them apart.
