I meant in another thread at another time, but I see that wherever I heard it, it seems to be true.

Quite a few have reported issues with Freedom Munitions such as hard primers, different power levels, etc. One shooter in a class this year reported seeing a total of 3 squibs from 2 different batches of Freedom Munitions ammunition used by 2 shooters. That is Bad News!

I have used bulkammo, Ammunition Depot, SGAmmo, PSA, Academy and even Dirt Cheap (say it ain't so!). Whoever has the best prices on what I am looking for at the time. Academy has free shipping over $35.

Well I can't speak for everyone but between a buddy and I we ran close to 6k rounds the past 3 years. Hell I have 3k rounds of their mouse fart loads sitting in BR now.

Give them a call and they should make it right if your having issues

I agree with you that you haven't had any issues. And minus my 9mm AR, I only had maybe 1 to 2 that failed to fire within thousands of rounds in my pistols. My USP's handle any hard primer just fine. But I couldn't group as well with their product, and also the OAL was just off.... They are fired, but the really short ones I didn't even risk it. Only reason I've shot so many, was I ordered 3k rounds at a time. I've since switched to solely American Eagle and Speer lawman for my 147gr shooting needs.

American Eagle and Lawman are 2 excellent choices for the few that purchase quality range ammunition.

Freedom Munitions used to be a good company until they started the brass trade-in program. Now you even get regular .223 cases with 5.56 ammo. Plus you don't know how many times a case has been reloaded. FTF, FDE, FTL. Bad business...

I buy frequently at SGAmmo.com. very good prices. Shipping is quick. My favorite place for ammo.

Palmetto State armory is good too, but sometimes it takes a couple days til the order is shipped out.

I've bought from Ventura munitions too. They are another good place. Fast shipping.

When I need Underwood Ammo.. I buy from their online site and usually order over 200 dollars worth for the free shipping

Whats strange is that the Academy Sports up here in Alexandria has ammo (308, 223/556, 9mm,45) cheaper or the same price after factoring in shipping than what I could buy it online.

What's the best (reputable) place to purchase ammo online, in bulk? Specifically, .223? Came across bulkammo.com, but, not sure if it's a reputable site or not.

    Thanks in advance.

I haven't recently, but I've ordered many times in the past without a problem.

By the way, I noticed recently that CMP is now selling hand gun and rifle ammo in calibers they never used to carry! Big step for them ..

I can vouch for sgammo.com, bulkammo.com, the-armory.com, and ammunitionstore.com. Prices and shipping vary. Sgammo is consistently great.
