    Is this legal in Louisiana?

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...ue&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A3LJVS3KF58FVV

Thinking about buying so when kid is in car she won't get burned, but it appears that it would be pretty dark. Would using this be breaking "window tint" laws? I would have my rear two door windows and large rear window "covered". Thanks guys.

Uhh... just realized we have a legal section. Sorry about that... if a moderator can move this, thank you.

I think it's only the front windows that are an issue. You can tint the back windows as dark as you like.

There's a tint called madicos wincos, I have it on my escalade and it really rejects heat well. It's one of the few tints that block the majority of IR light. You don't have to go dark to get the heat rejection, I have 40% and my interior stays cool

Thanks guys. Seems like a good buy, but the link alpine provided discourages me from purchasing.

You are free to do anything you want to the rear window and rear side windows. You are not allowed to obscure the windshield or the front side windows (driver/passenger). So unless you were planning on putting it in the front, it's legal.

Just the rear windows. Decided to use the good ole suction cup ones. These pull down over your window screens are not the look i'm going for....

Coming from a Leo, there is a difference in tinting your windows blacked out and putting something in the window to protect your child. Get it and rock it to keep the kid safe.

I have 40% all around (except windshield), high IR rejection though. I can sit in the sun, AC off, for a very long time assuming that the windshield isn't in direct sunlight.

Driving is also much more pleasant, I used to get a darker tan on my left arm from the sun cooking me.
