The day I hiked, it was 52 degrees with 20% humidity at 8:30 a.m. and around 60-65 degrees at 11 a.m. If you started to sweat, you could stop for a minute and be dry again! It took hours to dry out, on my last Louisiana hike
Normally do the Smokies every summer for a couple days of hiking.
This year did a Rockies trip; nice but not as pretty as Tennessee.
The hiking was considerably tougher with the high elevations.
Estes Park and Grand Lake are cool places to explore.
I'm sure Tennessee/North Carolina will be back in the rotation next year.
