Need a decent/honest auto repair shop recommendation NOLA/West Bank

My brother is looking for a shop to maintain his car, 4 or 5 year old Nissan. Dealership service prices are a bit steep on his budget. Anyone know of an independent shop on the Bestbank (He's off General Degualle) that does good work for reasonable prices?

Van's transmission on belle chasse hwy was always fair in prices for me. My parents just dropped of their car to them this week. If not maybe Firestone since you are on Degualle.

I have had pretty good experiences at Lucky Rogers in Harvey (8th & Manhattan).
Another guy on the forum recommended a guy in Metairie- if you are interested PM me for details.

Prefer to keep it local to the WB if possible. He just needs someone to do routine stuff, belts etc.

Art and Jimmy as Cat Cam said are awesome dudes. I knew them when I worked at a body shop on Wall Blvd and we used to use those guys when they worked at Macs Shell on Lapalco and Wall where they started their mechanic careers. Great honest people to with and I recommend them very highly. They have been working on automobiles since the early 80s and no one I have run into has said anything negative about them. If you talk to them tell them that Jay from Cajun Creations from long time ago sent you. They gotta be doing something right if they are still around. I miss those guys as they were always helpful.
