Ive seen some pretty sketch-balls stuff posted on here in the past as well.

And "sketch-balls" doesn't even come close to actually describing it... I've seen some shady people do shady ****.

Then again, most people I've done sales with are well known members of BS or I have done business with them in the past. Regardless, unless I'm meeting LEO at their station, I'm meeting in a high traffic public area, carrying, and bringing a friend.

Another great thing about this site. As someone mentioned earlier, the feedback function is great for dealing with a face you don't know.
Buying can be equally dangerous if you don't cover your bases. The potential buyer knows you will have cash.
My mind goes back to the story of the elderly couple who answered an ad to buy a used vehicle and were robbed, kidnapped and killed.
Craigslist just doesn't work for me at all.
If I ever have a doubt about a deal, I simply won't chance it.
I would never invite a complete stranger with no reference at all to my home. The reasons should be obvious to all.

How exactly would that work? Sounds interesting.

"One cannot awaken a man who pretends to be asleep."

I saw it advertised on the news a while back, they said there is a well lighted place with cameras on the rear of the lot that would be a safe place. I think they did this after there was a story like above happened to someone. I have not been there, but probably have signs or something.
