I have been diagnosed with stage IV melanoma. It's spread through my lymphatic system & started eating away at some choice internal organs. I have an appointment at the MD Anderson Cancer Center down in Houston next week. We'll see what type of treatment plan they come up with and what my odds are of surviving this. A few years ago it simply would have been a death sentence, but they have invented some new wonder drugs in the last year so there is some hope.

Prayers gratefully accepted. I need all the help I can get!

MD Anderson is where you want to be! My wife is an Oncology RN with 15+ yrs experience, and when she was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in '06, she went to MDA. She's been in remission for coming up on 9 years. Prayers to you!

    Oh, and BTW, F%#K CANCER!!!!

Best of luck to you. I know 2 people who had a bad diagnosis where MD Anderson was successful.

Prayers said/sent for you. You'll be in the best hands at MDA. My F-in-Law just beat lung cancer and this was his 4th cancer he has had -- stomach, testicular, colon & lung. Since his last cancer victory he's been playing golf 2-3 times a week. The Lung cancer was treated at MDA and he raves about the staff there.
