Anybody know where I can get a cable guide for a mid to late 80s Bear Kodiak compound bow? Even the manufacturer itself can't get one. Any help would be appreciated. Here's a pic of the bow.......

I am in Baton Rouge and enjoy working with my lathe and milling machine. This guide you speak of, can you give me a drawing, type of material preferred, accurate dimensions?

You talking about the rod that threads into the back if the riser and it keeps the cam cables offset from the bowstring? Some use to have a little Teflon slide. Some, the cables just rode over.

Looking at the pictures I don't see a place for a rod on the riser. I see the hole that looks like it goes through the limb pockets but no mount point for a cable guide. Are you sure it's supposed to have one?

See if you can find a model number on the bow somewhere and we can do a google search on it.

The cable guide screws into the insert in the riser 4" above arrow rest. Some had a sliding thing a ma gig onto the bar that reduced chafing on the bar.

I looked a little the other day and could find nothing online. Maybe if you go to Archerytalk forums and ask someone may have one and can send you some measurements on it.
