I am running a Naval Sea Cadet unit and my instructors and I are looking to get our cadets qualified with pistols as rifles for the program. Guidelines mandate that we need to have a safety officer as well as a certified instructor with a cadet on deck for this to happen. So I am looking to get certified and ideally my training officer who is a former Marine. Given that this is a 501c3 and all of the money raised goes to the kids, their training, and ones who cannot afford to join the program, I would be coming out of my pocket for this. I am not sure where to start looking for training or even if I could get a certified instructor/s to come out when would have range day. Any direction would be great.

I would contact the NRA and see if they could give you the names or contact information for an instructor. I see that you posted this yesterday so I'm hoping that one of our BS members may be an instructor and they can help you and your organization .
