Where's the BEAR PIT and why can't I use an avatar

How do I get to the BEAR PIT?

I'm guessing since I'm a n00b, I don't have access...

Also, I'm trying to use a 100x100 pixel avatar with no luck....another n00b thing I'm guessing??

I don't think the bearpit is around anymore - I do see it referenced in the General for sale area. But, I think it's gone. As far as avatar, I think it's not that strict. See my Ray Stevens on the left :P

The bearpit was a byproduct of our old classifieds system. We thought we got rid of all of that removed when we changed over to the new format several years ago. Where did you see a reference to the bearpit? It probably needs to be removed as well.

Since bears are very rare in Louisiana,
and the idea of bears in a pit is bordering on ridiculous ?

Why not have the Cotton-Mouth pit, and yes I have seen them in Honey-Island Swamp.
