...I lined these two up and took them both with a single shot...

That's havin' fun! I've not yet busted my two hogs with one shot cherry, but it won't be long. Those are some nice kills.

JeeperCreeper, I'm a Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator permitted by WLF. All I do is feral hog removal. I do Spring and Summer work on NWR land but was recently contacted by a private local landowner with 110 acres and ten times as many hogs. I'm running traps daily now either before or after I go to my day job. I primarily work/hunt in SE LA. Pearl River WMA is my weekend warrior hoggin spot, but also have a hunting camp lease near Independence. It's taken me a few years as a NWCO to find a good local spot for hog removal... persistence pays off. I've dropped about a thousand bucks into the three traps I'm running on that property and am not charging the landowner anything, just abiding by his rules on his property. Most people love to deer hunt... for whatever reason I have a passion for removing (and eating) feral hogs.

Hey, if I was as successful at it as you are I'd probably do a lot more hog hunting than I do. The little bastards are incredibly smart though and know how we hunt them at the lease. I haven't pulled the trigger on the leg snares yet, I need to get a couple and try them out. It's time to teach them a new trick.
