Agreed. The open carry guy you see in Walmart that looks like he's never been introduced to a bar of soap, wearing basketball shorts and high tops doesn't look professional. Personally, I'd rather conceal legally and hope I never have to draw it.
Just conceal it completely. MOST cops only know enough to be dangerous to the general public and do/will put their personal views/opinions into action in the process of "doing their jobs". I've experienced it in many ways.

I certainly say conceal. In my opinion most, not all of the guys who open carry, carry with a crappy holster, and I hate to use the word, "mindset" but, don't have the proper mindset of what carrying a weapon should mean. What I usually see are guys who want to essentially, "stick it to the man" and say I can carry because of constitutional right and there is nothing you can do about it. They are looking for attention and get butt hurt if a business owner asks them to leave. If they would have concealed there would have never been an incident of being asked to leave. I carry a firearm every day for the same reason I wear a seat belt. Not because I am anticipating a vehicle accident, but because I would certainly like to be prepared if it does happen. I feel it is my duty as a Male to protect my family, my self, and possibly those around me in the face of violence. I'm not a law enforcement officer and I do not anticipate making any arrest. I do feel strongly about 2nd Amendment rights and what they truly represent and sticking it to the man or looking cool are not it. Poorly open carrying is a threat to everyone.
