This came up a while back and I've been itching to try it. The weather was nice but the wind was a little gusty. I'll definitely be doing this again.

Post your 5 shot groups and make/model of your rifle.

Sitting at a picnic table. I know the groups aren't great, especially for sitting but it was just too windy to shoot offhand. I'll try it again this wkend if the weather holds up.

I like this idea, will post up some new ones when I get a chance to shoot again. For now here are some from the last couple times I had some rare free time to shoot. 1st is a little better than 20 yards, 10 shot groups. Second is the first and only time I've attempted 100 yards, I think 20 shots. Took a while to figure out where it was hitting and I had to shoot so far over the top of the target it was off the cross hairs. Figured I needed to re-zero the scope at a different range to be more effective at that far of a distance but my free time is but a distant memory. Rifle is a Hatsan BT65 .22 cal with aftermarket suppressor I believe shooting jsb exacts and tuned to shoot around 900fps. All shots are from bench rest.

Not a true representation as none are 25 yds. 5 shot groups
21 or 22 yds paced off, Sitting, open sights with whatever aperture size was in it, Daisy 853 Refurb - Wind was not bad no excuse for the 'flyer' - it wasn't a flyer it was me.

I will measure off a true 25 yds and do that.

I shoot a lot @ 10 meters / 11 yrds, which is a standard distance for some air rifle competitions
Daisy 853 scoped sitting - 5 shot group

Most online 'matches' specify a certain target, which is great for apples to apples comparison. Environments do vary a lot though.

Thanks for playing along guys. For the record, this isn't a formal competition. Its primarily giving me more incentive to spend time with the air rifle. I plan to use it for squirrels next season. That said, it turned out to not be a great day for me. No excuses, I didn't shoot well. My best group came in at 3/4" with a pulled shot opening the group up to 1 1/2". I tried 5 shots standing unsupported but couldn't get it tighter than 2 1/2". I'll try it again tomorrow, weather permitting.
