    Last one I bought was in 1980. Series 70 Colt Ace 22lr {like a Gold Cup but 22lr} nice gun. And later added all Colt parts to have a 45acp conversion
    New Colt's are not what they used to be.
    Wanted a 9mm 1911 for years so grabbed a Kimber Raptor 2 in Stainless.

    Was kinda posting to see who else got a gun after the shooting Sunday. I was anyway but was on the fence between the Raptor or Gold Match and hope I made the right choice. So did not Order it Friday.
    Just hope when I get it the background checks are not backed up. I know The black Friday after the New Town shooting it was bad and even went down.

    Many purchased pistols lately but most were 9mm defensive pistols such as the compact Glock G19.

    When I go to Cabela's to get my 22lr orders, that I sent to the store {since free shipping to store}
    I am betting the gun counter will be a mad house with everyone holding a # and waiting. Wanting to get a 380 or 9mm handgun and a few boxes of ammo. That will sit on a shelf ect. in their home and never get cleaned or shot
