Hello everybody I'm new to this site and wanted to say hello . I recently picked up a franchi 500 and wanted to see if anybody had any experience with this gun. I've read both good and bad things on the Internet. However I'm unable to find any reliable information
    Thanks in advance

My father in law has had one for years. It is surprisingly a fairly soft shooter given it's weight. He does have jamming issues quite often. He will bring it in to get serviced, and a few trips later, same routine. IMO it isn't nearly reliable as most Italian made shotguns are. The Franchi AL48 and Raptor are greatly improved models. My $0.02
