can i cross state lines with a silencer without filling paperwork

    Looking to use my silencer on my land in Mississippi.
    Looking around the net some say yes and some say no on filling out paperwork.
    It is not on a SBR or anything. looking for input. Thanks

    just looked on silencer talk and saw that it is legal to travel across state lines with silencer. need paperwork for SBR

    My guess is when some minimum wage secretary typed up the regulation, they missed typing suppressor when listing the types of NFA firearms.

    IIRC, suppressors became NFA items in 1934 with the beginning of the NFA. I've always been curious of the mindset they had back then.
