A few weeks ago I had asked about yall's thoughts on the Stoeger M3500. I was wanting to get an entry level Semi-Auto for future bird hunting. I looked at the Benelli A300, but the gun just didn't feel right in my hands. The Stoeger fit my frame much better. So, I purchased the gun two weeks ago and took it out Quail hunting yesterday. I shot a bunch of low brass 2 3/4in through it. As many reviews online stated, the gun doesn't like 1 oz loads and I can confirm that as true. But, when I went up to 1 1/8 oz loads, the gun shot flawlessly. I shot about 100 rounds through it between some break in shots and the bird hunt. The gun feels great.
I've always shot Semi-Autos that were gas systems. The inertia driven systems is a different cat. The gun was clean as it can be when I got home, but in the field it took some getting use to. When you fire the gun, the reloading almost feels like a double tap as opposed to one fluid motion. Once I got use to that and could anticipate that, my second shots were much better.
Overall, for the price, I'm very satisfied with gun.
