That's not going to do much for rain protection and your tent is not the main component to keeping you warm. If you were in that tent with only a blanket in 35 degree weather, you would be dying.

I meant a thermal blanket in addition to the warm sleeping bag haha. Plus being on an air mattress will be a lot warmer than being on a floor mat.

How about this one lol. I am so done searching for tents. They all seem to have something that I don't like. I really like the idea of one with a star-gazer type roof, but all of the one's that have that seem to suck in rain protection.

Here's one that I kinda like...but same thing with rain protection, not entirely sure.

Anyone know of one that has a decent open roof, but good rain protection if needed?

    Metairie, LA
At the bottom end of the price list: https://www.campmor.com/c/slumberjack-trail-tent-2
At least its made by a known brand (think Taurus in handgun terms... but its better than hipernt) but Slumberjack is really known for overstuffed inexpensive sleeping bags.

This is what I'd really consider in a 2 man tent if it were for me. This design has been around for 15+ years with no major complaints. I'm partial to Eureka but I'd have no concerns buying from Sierra Designs.

Oh, and I've never had any luck with air mattresses. Find a decent closed cell foam pad (think yoga mat) instead.

You DON'T want that Sierra Designs Flashlight Tent. It is not self supporting and is really wobbly. The Backpacker in BR sells them and they will even shy you away from them. I had my eye on the Flashlight 1 UL for a while and I could have bought it dirt cheap, but after seeing how much of a pain it is to set up, I'll never look at them again.
