Statement released by Brazil Civil Police:
"Civil police officer João Henrique Pinheiro, who killed an assailant during an attempted robbery in downtown Sao Jose dos Campos, said he had reacted to preserve and protect his wife and victims. “I would not do anything different. Anything other than that would be my life instead of his,” said the 18-year-old policeman at the Civil Police.
This occurred in Brazil btw.

18 YO police in Brazil. Brazil is pretty much like the wild west. Lots of street crime, in some areas perps just run up to people on the street walking and yank/steal jewelry, smartphones, purses. Plenty of video on youtube. Extreme poverty pushes people to do drastic things.
