    Depends on how she slipped as she rolled to port. There might not be enough room to parbucke. They could seal every opening above the (normal) waterline and flood the dry dock. Hopefully she'll right herself, but if she tries to fully capsize then they have a bigger problem. They may have to break her up in place.

    I'll have to dig out the books, but didn't they have to drege out the shore of Ford Island to make room to parbucke Oklahoma?

    Correction:. Maryland was inboard of Oklahoma so there was room. Maybe it was Utah they had to drege.

    You can use a barge moored next to the target. Depending on the strength of the dry dock you could use the wing wall to anchor the legs. If the damage is bade enough they'll just bring the dock the rest of the way up and break her right in the dock.
