Ok I went to buy 6.5 Grendel and struck out again got lucky and found dies and bullets in stock I took that as a sign from on high that I needed to finally roll my own.

I know this is about reloading but the few times I have found 65G locally the price was not even competitive with online vendors. Last week you could buy hornady for 15.85 per box. Shipping put at 18.30 per box.

    Out of stock now:(

If I can buy it for less than $1 per round I do.

I was hoping you would drop back in. I bought some 120amax and some 140otm. Bullets my brief research gives opposing opinions on the 140's in the Grendel. What loads have you tinkered with?

I have shot the factory hornady offerings and give a slight edge in accuracy to the amax. The sst has done fine as a hunting bullet for me.

Currently I am reloading for my two 20" barreled guns using the 100 Nosler ballistic tip. I have killed several deer with this round from 50 to 323 yds and shot paper out to 650.

I have a box of 100 amax I will try this summer.

The 130 and up pills take up so much space in the case it limits the powder charge. my thinking is if I need more then 123 gr pill I need to go to a bigger case like creedmore. I've been killing deer for decades with 100 grain bullets. First from 25-06 now with Grendel.

A few of the 6.5 Grendel forum members wrote some reloading manual that I highly recommend. They can be found at ar15buildbox.com
