Same thing happened a while back near in the area. Someone must have gotten a hold of some movie money from a film.

Booker T. Washington, his passenger, each had counterfeit money in their possession at the time of the arrest amounting to $700. The counterfeit money looked legitimate except that it was marked with wording *For Motion Picture Use Only.* The investigation continues in an effort to determine the source of the counterfeit bills.
the real Booker T. Washington who was a key proponent of African-American businesses and one of the founders of the National Negro Business League. would frown on this Bookers bad business dealings..

Big investigation??? They used to have it on amazon. Can still get it here:

Were they trying to pass it? Possession of this should not be illegal.

In the early 90's a bar I worked at took in some 100's printed with a color printer. One at the door and one at the bar was passed! It was plain white on the other side..........................I worked there say 10 years plus, and there was some real winners working there at times.

We may or may not have had people bring these in unintentionally whenever I worked at a bank. A lot of times it is an honest mistake when people try to pass CF currency.

The bills pictured in the above article are pretty close when passed in a busy line, some clerks in town here have been taken by these before. Some friends had collected a bag full of much more obvious prop money from a scene shot next door to their place on St. Charles, and during Mardi Gras they crumple and fold it, drop it from the balcony, and watch for the temporarily thrilled passers-by that pick it up thinking they've scored, only to find disappointment a few steps later and drop it with a dumb grin while looking around to see who fooled them. Free fun for the kids to occupy the time between parades.
