    Just thought I'd post this info for anyone wondering. I took my renewal class EXACTLY 2 weeks ago (Sat. 1/7) and was astounded to see in my mail TODAY (!!!) a packet from the LASP containing my NEW LICENSE! TWO WEEKS! This is great, if not a bit a bit unexpected. The speed is amazing considering how long it sometimes takes to get the license. Maybe a simple renewal is easier but I never expected only 2 weeks to get it. My current license expires 2/11/2017 so I was hoping for speed. GOT IT!!! :)

    Great have hear it was taken about the same as new 6 months. I may wait a bit to renew mine now.

    I think I have the record: 2 days after submission I got an email asking for method of payment.

    Two days later I had it.

    In order to set a new record you would have to receive your permit in short order while waiting in the lobby.

    Agree with kz45.... Mine only took a little over a month, but that week I could not carry was very uncomfortable to me. Hopefully they will catch up on the back log.
