Would appreciate opinions for a suppressor for my 308.

    make and model

What do you have and how do you like it?

    Thanks in advance

I favor QD because of the versatility of quick changing my can to multiple hosts while shooting at the range.

Will this be a dedicated can or a multi host item?

Depends on the can I think. Traditionally, the direct thread were more accurate, but with the modern taper-lock designs, that may not be true anymore. Qd could be as good or better. With a rifle like that, accuracy would be a big driver for me.
I did my sbr dt, but that was b/c its shorter. best o luck. SiCo Omega. Would be great for that stick too. Comes with both dt and qd mount and muzzle device. Try both!

My QD sdn6 does not do so well as for accuracy. Groups opened up a bit.
Direct thread is the way to go in my opinion.
As for brand, I really like thunderbeast. I have a 30p-1 and a 30ps. Next in line will be a ultra 9.
My crux ark30 does well and is really light, but the 30p-1 is quieter. The 30p-1 is a larger can though.

Other than convenience, is there any reason for not going direct thread?
Some believe that if you use a muzzle brake mount, the muzzle brake will act as a sacrificial baffle and will slow erosion of the can's baffles. Maybe.
It's possible that a direct thread can back off during shooting while a qd would probably have a locking feature.
And like I said before, some of these taper mounts may promote better alignment and end up being better than a direct thread. Maybe.
Dedicated tho? I'd say direct thread for sure. Shorter, lighter, simpler.

I like the Thunderbeast and Dead Air cans. Personally I'd use direct thread for that application. Besides the potential accuracy issues, a QD mount also adds cost and weight. Sure, you get a sacrifical baffle with a QD brake, but I doubt you'll even come close to causing any sort of erosion with a bolt gun.
