I'm not sure why because typically these kinds of ads are based on browser history, but I'm getting ads from Audible (Amazon audible?) that appear to be erotic and homoerotic (hopefully that's PC enough from a sis-gender heterosexual male) novels. Again not really sure why these keep appearing in the side bar ad, because I don't use Audible and I don't read erotic or homoerotic novels (hell I don't read novels period), but it's aggravating.

Ok let the wise ass remarks begin.:flamed:

    Anyone else use your computer?

Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk

Phone. And the only one is my wife (rarely she has her own) and she doesn't read rags like that either.

Ok so currently in the ad bar for audible is:
    Torn by Carian Cole
    Shaken by Tim Tebow
    Body Book by Camron Diaz
    And
The Misadventures of Awkard Black Girl by Issa Rae

So fwiw it's not all erotic but non of this stuff interests me. You know usually it's stuff that I would have looked at but in this case it's not.

I've got "friends" who would do this to my phone or computer just to spoof up my ads. I have heard of this being done to a supervisor who didn't lock his computer when he walked away from it. It apparently makes for awkward conversations with IT...

I use an iPhone with no other devices associated with this device. It can't be linked in any logical way to any history I have on this phone.... I think

The ad just added the Federalist Papers. Which I am guilty as charged in my browser history. I was listening to one of them on YouTube the other day.

    I know likely story.:hsugh:

Ads like that don't appear randomly. I took a very complicated statistics class where we learned all about predictive behavior. Basically the bottom line is that companies can predict that you like something often before you, or those around you, know that you like it. So in short, Amazon knows that sometime soon you are going to be interested in books like that. Just give in. Let Amazon help you. They know what is right for you.

Market research suggests he frequents websites that serve user data to ad platforms. In all likelihood he's wandering target market sites. The redirect marketing is just hitting him on BS.
