Sorry guys, its a LE only class. I posted in here because the LE only forum doesn't have that much traffic.
My department is hosting this class. We are just outside of New Orleans (35 minutes). Class fee is $500, but you go home with a Peltor Comtac headset, PTT and eye pro. It's a hell of a deal on those headsets. Contact me if you need any further info.

E.C.H.O.—“Entry, Cordon, and High-risk Operations”
Blending military combat techniques with law enforcement tactics, ECHO training provides each student with operationally proven tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP’s) to prepare them for high-risk situations. 3M’s ECHO training focuses on the latest TTP’s and the proper employment of LE-specific gear and equipment. As the threat increases their capabilities, so must our TTPs.
Small-unit response and inter-agency operability is the basis for this 2-day tactical class emphasizing situational awareness, teamwork, firearms skills, communication, and movement. This is a small-unit tactics class with emphasis on executing teamwork in the most critical action we are called to do in Law Enforcement—the modern gunfight.
With decades of law enforcement & military experience, our instructor team will present a high-volume, high-intensity law enforcement training session.
This 2-day course also provides each attendee a $1,200 kit to take home, which includes a 3M™ PELTOR™ COMTAC/SWAT-TAC headset, a PTT (push-to-talk) device, and 3M Tactical eyewear.
The 3M Law Enforcement ECHO Course will cover:
Gear, Mindset, and Situational Awareness
We make a choice to work in an armed profession. That choice includes the fact we may have to use force to protect others and ourselves.
Having the proper equipment is only the beginning of the solution. All use of force training must incorporate the proper setup and use of that equipment to experience optimum performance.
As the “good guys”, we're always going to be behind the power curve in response to criminal violence. Knowing this, our mental and physical preparation coupled with aggressive response will increase our chances for a positive outcome of dangerous situations. Understanding where we are physically, mentally, and emotionally at all times provides us an advantage over the threat as we respond with lawful and effective TTP’s.
Accuracy
The public we serve requires us to have a high skill set in regards to accuracy. We must master the use of firearms and situational awareness to ensure that no innocent bystanders are injured during LE operations. The public demand it, and rightfully so. The training sessions emphasize accuracy and accountability.
Extreme Close Quarter Engagement
Officers must be trained and prepared to engage threats at "bad breath" distance where the majority of our contacts begin. Traffic stops, domestic violence investigations, and suspicious situations require an officer to be in close proximity of subjects and suspects.
Carbine to Handgun Transition
The ability to recognize the need to transition from carbine to handgun is a critical skill needed by Law Enforcement Officers.
Ammunition Management
The need to have immediate access to reloads and keeping the officer's weapons "topped off" with ammunition requires the Officer to master simple, but effective techniques.
Weapon Malfunctions
Weapons stop working for a variety of reasons. Officers need to understand the nature of the malfunction and how to fix it in stress filled situations. Simple, effective techniques, learned and experienced on the range, provide competence and confidence when going in harm’s way.
Communications
Communicating is at the forefront for success in LE situations. Proper and effective communication with subjects, suspects, and fellow officers WILL influence the outcome in dangerous situations.
Use of Cover
The use of cover and concealment is critical in today's world of mobile threats. The officer's ability to identify and quickly utilize appropriate cover and concealment can make a difference in the outcome of the gunfight.
Movement and Teamwork
Movement in a high-threat environment requires teamwork and communication. Knowing why, how and when to move is practiced during the training sessions.
