This is the second round of 40+ pounds of pork butts smoking in five days. Some of this I need for tomorrow morning so rather than wait until today to smoke them I started them last night. I intended to get all four on last night doing two on the Traeger and two on the Keg.
I lit the Keg late yesterday afternoon to get the temperature set and settled for when I put the butts on but with a cool front that came through the night before it was pretty windy and where I had the Keg the wind swirled and overshot the temp to over 400 degrees. Oh well, I made a call to just wait and do those two today a little higher than usual.

The other two which totaled over 22 pounds I put on the Traeger about 11:00 last night and they are looking fantastic this morning.

Here are the two I put on the Keg at 7:30 this morning.

Looks burnt in the picture but it wasn't as dark as it looks. Great bark!

I pulled half of them yesterday afternoon and had to stop. I'll finish today with pictures.

Usually I do but for this and 40+ pounds I did a few days ago I used a concentrate base and added to it. Needed like two gallons of sauce between the two.
