What's your budget? Also, what ranges do you foresee taking shots at, and how important is lowlight performance to you?

It's my first hunting rifle and I have never been rifle hunting so I can't answer those.
However, I do plan to move after my MBA this December and Texas, Utah, TN are on my list.
So those areas would allow for longer hunting than what Louisiana provides.
I don't really have a budget but I'd like to keep it below $400 but can go over if it's worth it.
