Looking for plates like the "gong" that used to be at the BufferZone.
Before I spend $$ on some AR500 plates, I wanted to check and see if anyone knew of a source in the New Orleans area for steel scraps that can be used.
    Thanks in advance.

Call some of the local steel suppliers to see what they will charge to cut the plates you need. Cutting by water jet is best and then plasma as there is no heat transferred to the material. 3/8" is the thinnest to use and if all your shooting is pistol calibers and no magnums then you really don't need AR-500.

I have 7 that I have had for close to a year and they are holding up great. I have a short video on YouTube (Shooting my Trinity targets) showing them in use along with contact info of where I got them. I bought my first two from him at a gunshow then drove to his place to buy the other 5 a couple months later. He is out of Picayune.

I use old end blinds, usually like 4"-8" 300lb end blinds, one of the perks for working in the plant for so many years I guess, but you would be surprised how many plants just throw them away, or scrap them, I have seen a lot of them laying around at scap yards when going to drop off stuff, im sure they will let you have them for next to nothing
