    Both these bills deal with National CCW. Hopefully this will advance. I travel to NY and I would like to carry, however the real bad piece of legistation that no one really mentions is the 1990 Gun Free Zone act. If you carry on an out of state permit , any state you carry in you are subject to a 1000' boundary around all schools. Carrying in your home state does not have this prohibition. So this affects all CCW whether of not a national CCW passes. So ,if friends come to New Orleans you are hard pressed to not be within 1000' of any school in the city. Our legislators need to repeal this law or modify it. This also applies to retired law enforcement carrying on LEOSA. They cannot carry within 1000' of a school outside their home state. What would happen if Congress past a law saying that within 1000' of a school you loose your first or fourth amendment rights. Seems like the second amendment is not as important. Not many of members of Congress are aware of this.
