I'm about to rotate out my old SD ammo and also pick up some for my wife's new 9mm while I'm at it. My mags are currently loaded with 180gr Federal Hydra-Shok, but was considering checking out something different.

What do you carry, and why?

Speer or Winchester Ranger, it works and works well. For 38 I use Winchester 158gr +p SWC "FBI Load", in .357 I bought some Hornady 140gr FTX, for no reason other than I've seen what Hornady FTX's do to deer and was suitably impressed.

I'm curious as why you are rotating ammo?
    That question is very vague?

The pistol that they are currently in hasn't seen much action in a few years, and its about to become my EDC so I'd feel a bit better with something newer.
The old ones go in a target practice bucket

Gold Dot, HST, Critical Duty, Ranger T and Golden Saber are all proven LEA rounds. I normally use Gold Dot or HST.

Common practice for LEA's and not a bad idea for anyone that carries a pistol daily.
