I have ti say when i was looking at the Russia 1st and China #2 but what do i know

They are both good SKS rifles. I just prefer to take my Chinese ones out to shoot instead of my Russian one in case I get a case of the dumb butt and some how cause some damage to it by either banging it against something, dropping it, or some other stupid stuff that I have been known to do occassionaly. :(

I've had Russian, Yugo, and a Chinese sks's and even one Sino/Soviet.

    I still have the Norinco!

The Chinese examples I've had or been around have better machining, triggers, and accuracy than any Russian I've seen. Yugos are well built but everyone I've shot has lacked in the trigger/accuracy dept.

To this day the only sks I've ever shot that was as accurate as my Norinco, was my dad's Norinco.

I prefer the Chinese ones. In fact, I recently had an old fella' sell me a "like new" Chinese SKS with 100 rounds of ammo for $100. I actually tried to give him more and he wouldn't hear of it. Sometimes it's like that.:)
My favorite shooter is my "D" model with 20 round magazines.
