Another of Curly's 1911 related creations . . . . .
OK, this one is my favorite to make. I have a few sets of 1911 dated coins that I have been painstakingly accumulating over the past year or so, and a few guys have asked me to create grip sets for them with these coins inset as featured medallions. They are set in the wood using non destructive adhesives so if the urge ever presented, you could take them out without damage.
The coins are kind of hard to get in decent enough condition (and at the right price to make these affordable). Availability is dependent upon what coins I can secure.
Again, your thoughts?

Sorry I haven't been on the much site lately, but I have branched out making these. I am now making bone grips with 1911 dated $2-1/2 Quarter Eagle medallions. These are not genuine Quarter Eagles, but they are 24K gold plated tribute/reproductions that are made for the jewelry industry.

Voting is the responsibility of a citizen, even if voting may not necessarily be obligatory. To not vote seems to me to be an abrogation of one's responsibility as a citizen, regardless of one's politics.

Thats amazing! Do a burl wood set next! You could get a Czech coin from 1975 and do a set for a CZ75.
