Hey guys. I've got a Nylon 66 and the stock broke in two right at the safety. I'm another forum someone suggested I could repair it with dowels and Brownells Acraglass Bedding compound. I've also heard Remington will trade it out for a different model .22 With sending it in plus $75, but I've emailed them with no response. I've got several other .22 rifles and I don't need this one. I Kind of want to trade for a .22 pistol. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do? TIA

I'd try the Acraglas repair. These are great little rifles that are becoming collectable. I'd be reluctant to part with it if it was mine.

I've had success repairing a stock split at the wrist before using an epoxy and threaded brass dowels. My repair has held up to full 12 ga. turkey loads.
If possible, you can drill the holes for the dowels on the stock surface that is against the receiver making the repair less visually impacting.

OP responded on the other forum and he restored his with a newer stock, he still has his old one. He said he'd sell me that one or buy mine. Still thinking it over. Thanks!

Thanks guys for the responses. I wound up selling it to a guy that had a stock for it already. He has another one just like it and 2 boys he wants to give them to. I figured it was a better fit for that gun than with me.
