I will have my merchant account closed by Intuit later this month because I sell firearms, period.
Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes.
I have used Quickbooks for inventory and billing since 2012 and prior to that I used Intuit Merchant services for credit card payments. A recent audit was run and found that Landry's Guns sells firearms, (no kidding, guns?). Apparently this is against Intuit's rules. I was told on a phone call, 2 days ago, that I am in a category of businesses they won't give a merchant account to. These include fireworks(really???), adult sex toys, certain livestock (WTF...sheep?) and firearms. I have the email to prove it it anyone want to see it. The guy on the phone was real nice and even said he was a gun person, but corporate rules. I still have a PAI account so I'm swapping back to them. The Intuit was so easy since it interfaced with my accounting package, I could do checks like a CC and even set up recurring payments. Oh well, back to the manual way of doing stuff.
