The media have bounced around between 3 different gun IDs all day. For most of the day, CBS IDed it as an M4. They then surprisingly gave a very accurate description of an M4. along the way, they played an interview of an eyewitness who said it was an AK, which he knew from his "extensive video game playing because it has a very distinctive shape."

Congressional baseball players to wear LSU gear in Scalise's honor: report
Players on the Republican and Democratic baseball teams will reportedly wear Louisiana State University gear at Thursday’s Congressional Baseball Game in honor of Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise (R).

An ABC News reporter said that the staff of Rep. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) was organizing the move.

Rifle shot through pelvic region, bone and organ damage, surgery and stabilization in critical condition. Paraphrasing from a link I read on my phone earlier.

The reason I asked was that I heard that there was no exit wound and there was more bleeding than expected. They speculated it ricoched around inside and apparently caused some internal hemmoraging. He was still listed in critical condition...
