The GSSF matches/fairly easy to get started, you need to be a GSSF member to shoot--apply online at GSSF online r u can fill out an entry at match. Any model Glock pistol can be shot, you will need 50 rounds to shoot per gun. You can shoot 2 different guns just not same caliber, for more info look at indoor league on GSSF web site.

    GSSF Indoor League Website. http://www.gssfonline.com/indoor-league.cfm
What is GSSF - http://www.gssfonline.com/pdf/Indoor-League/What is the GSSF Indoor League.pdf

The GSSF League Match is a series of three matches conducted over a 3-month period. Participants must be current GSSF members and compete in two of the three matches to qualify for plaques and prizes. If you are not currently a member, you may join on-line at this web-site or upon registration at a GSSF League Match. An annual GSSF membership costs only $35.00 for new members and $25.00 for renewing members and allows you to compete in any GSSF match. Competitors may shoot ANY GLOCK pistol.

The Lewis Prize Allocation system is used to distribute awards as equitably as possible. Each separate pistol used during the match will be a separate entry. Your two best scores of each entry during the series will be totaled and averaged at the end of the 3-match series. If a shooter competes in only two matches, his/her scores for each entry are totaled and divided by two. If a shooter competes in all three matches, his/her best two scores for each entry are totaled and divided by 2.
The result is one final score for each entry, which is then listed in the overall order in which he/she finished. The overall list is then divided into thirds, with the top one-third considered "A Class," the second one-third is "B Class," and the final one-third is "C Class." Plaques are awarded to the top competitor of each class. Unlimited Class is available for non-stock GLOCK Pistols
All Scoring disputes will be determined by the host range.

Additionally, t-shirts, hats, and field knives are awarded and a GLOCK pistol is GIVEN AWAY by drawing at the end of a GSSF League Match series.

I'm interested in giving this a shot. How long will the match take and do you need to be there at a certain time? I looked on the GSSF site to sign up but I could not find this match in the list. Thanks

Typically it only takes about 10 mins or less. Depending on how fast the RO moves and laziness of the shooters, How many shooter register and how many people they bring into the range at one time to run the course of fire.
From what I understand FRC is only 7 lanes
I would expect it to take a little longer than usual since this is FRC first time running a GSSF match, but you never know.
You have more fun Bull Sh!tt!n& and meeting new people. I know i do.

This is getting me closer and closer to buying a Glock just to be able to shoot in these matches.

July is out, I'm not free til around noon that day. I may try and make the next two though, I need to get back into a few pistol games again.

shrxfan: I'm sure someone will loan you a Glock if you provide ammo if you wanted to try it out.

If the indoor match is run anything like an outdoor match, you can show up anytime during the day to shoot. Register, pay your fee, and go wait your turn on each stage. I was a range officer for a couple of outdoor matches and there was never much of a wait for any stage.

^^^ Yes that is true, Bayou Dragon is set up that way.
But some indoor ranges (Shooters Club) will hold the match in the morning and knock everything out in a couple hours, that way they don't interrupt there normal business hours.

I should probably do that but when I was first looking for a pistol the grip on the Glock just threw me off it was like holding a 2x4. I like the grip on my M&P much better felt natural from the get go.
