When I pull the charging handle back, lock the bolt open, and bump the butt plate on a hard (or any) surface, the bolt slams closed. Otherwise the rifle functions great.
Anyone have a solution to this problem?

If there is no mag in the gun it will close if you smack it the right way. There is a spring that holds the bolt catch down and away from the carrier so it does not lock open when firing. When you smack the rifle it releases the pressure on the bolt catch from the bolt and disengages it. It's normal.

Normal to an extent, I had one lower where the bolt catch was on a hair trigger, it would just randomly slam shut. New bolt catch fixed it, thinking it wasn't machined just right.
