For the purpose of recent (September 2016) actual numbers, I just had a factory model 7 260 rem worked. Blue print action $150, fit barrel $240, open stock barrel channel and bed $180, thread muzzle w/protector $80, heavy lug $35, chamber gauge $30, postage and insurance $39, Brux barrel $330 w/shipping. Very inaccurate to better than 0.5" groups for $1084.
If you want to win at 600 plus yards go custom, but I am quite pleased with my 260.
(But this was not done in the BR area as your post asks)

agreed. shooters win matches, not rifles.

I am obviously a poor communicator.
I was only trying to agree with Mickey and others who said yesterday, if 1000 yd completion is your primary use, you may want to sell it and go with a custom action.
Of course rifles do need a shooter to win...
