    Hi Y'all,

Looking for nothing fancy. Just something to ward off the pesky squirrels ravaging my bird feeders.

Would prefer .22 cal....my Vintage (1960s) Benjamin got lost in the flood:(

Wmart marked down the Ruger Impact Max to $99 so i picked one up. It's a .22 and came with a scope. I'm not sure the quality if the optic yet but i plan to find out soon. I got it consistently shooting 2" at 18 yards with "irons" but from what i understand it should settle down after a couple of hundred pellets. My Umarex did.

To answer your question, the Centerpoint scopes seem to be decent for air rifles on a budget. It looks like the 3-9x is the most popular. I've seen them at all of the box stores.
