Hey big rifle guys. Any have any experience or own one of these rifles thinking about investing in one.

I've never dealt with the SHTF stuff but I have an Armalite AR-50. They're not very practical for much around here and they're expensive to shoot, about $4 per round. But they are fun and make an impression on the range.

i wouldnt call it "investing". Those things are known to crack lower recievers.

If it were me, I'd keep an eye out for a used barrett single shot if you want the entry level .50BMG rig.

    What he said.

I've seen a mag fed safety harbor in action first hand and although it did feed from a mag, more than likely I could have single loaded an ar50 just as fast. Not picking at it but it was kind of "clunky". Definitely not like mag feeding from an AI mag.

Hate to go off topic, But have you considered a 338 Lapua?
