I started seeing news stories about the protests, rally, marches in VA. Go figure no one says what they were protesting or the reason for their march. All I hear and see is name calling and go home. Its hard for me to form an opinion without any real information on what was going on. Anyone know what was happening up there? Is "white nationalist" an actual group or a general term for white people that protest something?? What do they say they represent or is their mission. And where do I submit my application for membership? JUST KIDDING ON THE LAST PART!
At least with BLM I knew what they had a problem with from the news.

The "white nationalist" were protesting the removal of a confederate monument. Though they were peaceful. The media made t out to seem like they were mad men and the antifa protestestors were the peaceful ones

If you read in to the articles past the first 3 or 4 paragraphs the liberal media even admits that the "anti-protesters" were assaulting the rally members by throwing things and pepper spraying the group as they passed by. Not sure who the groups are but they are referring to them as kkk and nazi groups in every thing i've seen. Blm was listed as one of the counter protest groups.

Local government decides to remove Robert E Lee monument to promote racial harmony. White nationalists(?) apply for permit to protest removal of Robert E Lee monument. Permit is denied. ACLU sues government on behalf of white nationalist for denial of permit on 1st amendment grounds. Federal court rules in favor of protesters, grants permit. Antifascists stage counter protest with no permit. Police fail to keep non-permitted protesters from assaulting permitted protesters. Result, scores injured, three dead, one million dollar helicopter lost. Who bares ultimate responsibility for this debacle. Seems media blames Trump.

I did see on the tv news that David Duke was there and the media did speak to him on tv.

They will always blame Trump but yet the biggest hate group is black lives matter and Barack Obama invited them to the White House

Am I the only one who feels there is media manipulation afoot? Man, I just can't rule out some "unseen agenda" BS here. It was shoddily executed as well! Even my 12 year old said "Dad, something just doesn't sound right here! Who was doing what, where?"

One group gets a legal permit to assemble in numbers. Which should allow for enough emergency safety personnel to be there. They peacefully rally. They get flagged as Racists, Nazi's and the KKK.

Other groups decide to barge in on the rally. Not permitted, assembling in the streets and "taking over". They pepper spray people and throw bottles. Fights ensue. Labeled "peaceful protestors" You tell me if there's bias going on.

Unite the right/KKK/WLM? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGKHMy1HUZg Guess I missed that part about it not being racist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vFe0EPBKXQ I have a distaste for all 3 parties involved, BLM/WLM, Antifa and the KKK, but like Tom Gresham said today on Gun Talk "if your idea of a protest is showing up with pitch forks, torches and rifles slung across your back is the idea of a "peaceful protest" you are trying to incite an altercation"(paraphrase)......or something to that effect, but......maybe I am missing something. Not to mention it was the KKK/WLM/UniteTheRight that went full ISIS plowing a car in to a crowd of people.

Lol if by peaceful you mean driving a car into a mob of equally ignorant counter protesters..... Then it was very peaceful with screaming of bring it on Nixxer and sieg heil salutes under iTccs(improvised torches citronella candles). Like BLM before them WLM is the next domestic terrorist Liberal joke.

The car through the crowd was definitely not peaceful but not the action of anyone who filed for the permit to march. Yelling and screaming at counter protesters actually is in fact peaceful whether you agree or not with what is being said. The demonstrators that know another group has lawful assemblage rights yet purposely attempts to disrupt is not lawful nor part of our American way of life. We have seen police sit by and allow antifa or the like beat right wing groups several times recently with no recourse. It must not be allowed to continue because people will retaliate against violence with violence in self defense escalating an already tenuous situation.
The political sides too far apart in ideology today for any common ground and good will. When the left applauds shooting of conservative members of the house and wishes death on fellow citizens over political discourse a line has been crossed.
A line unfortunately that is going to eventually lead to our nation being rechartered by who is victorious in the upcoming upheaval.

The girl that died is shown in another video that's not getting the same airplay as the one of the guy plowing down people.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uASs1k1-HyA

Shows that after he plowed through the crowd and hit the car in front, she (with a white umbrella) and a group of guy with bats run towards the car as it puts it in reverse. They start smashing his windows and they get thrown off with the woman kinda flying back with the car and getting sandwiched to a nearby truck. Sucks that she died, but it wasn't entirely without fault.

Though I don't agree with the KKK, They were protesting, screaming etc..... They looked pretty "peaceful" to me. Standing their ground etc, and I'm sure all the violence that started was due to other people coming in wanting to start ****. Look at all the guys standing still, all the formation etc. You telling me people didn't walk into that crowd trying to start stuff. And if you were standing up for what ever you believe in, you gonna just let someone take swings at your or spit on you?

As far as the car incident. That guy is rightfully in jail. We don't have all the info, but if indeed it was on purpose, I hope he rots in jail.

The city council voted to take down a statue of Robert E. Lee and rename Lee Park "Emancipation Park" I'm not sure what they thought would be the reaction to such an obvious incitement, but the legal protests was usurped by illegal counter demonstrations and one unaffiliated person in the vehicle. I am not a nazi nor a Klan member and resent being called a white supremacist or socialist for taking a position in political debate. Any race other than white is now allowed to show pride in their heritage without comment. This will not end well.

They wouldn't have all this violence if they'd stop removing monuments to american history to appease the PC nazis. They should go ahead and remove more well-known ones like Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument if they're going to remove this stuff.

So the media is now referring to Antifa/BLM as "anti-racism activists".

Kind of akin to VPC being a "gun safety group", huh?

I have nothing for the Nazi crowd. But lending media-style moral superiority to another fringe group(s)- with a history of violence- is dangerous waters....

Well I guess I should be ashamed that I'm white, old, loves God and I have a gun, but I'm not! Gee where was the out-cry when BLM, Move On , Black Panthers and all of the other racist hate groups were spitting , beating and burning other peoples crap?
It is pretty amazing how the real racist/haters have spun this 180 degrees. With all this crap in the news, no one is paying attention to North Korea, ISIS or anyone else who wants to kill us. Soon they will not have to try, as we will self-destruct, and ISIS and North Korea will have nothing to hate! It's gonna get worse!
