On November 11 - 12, the Massad*Ayoob*Group will be presenting the*two-day, MAG/20 live fire course in Baton Rouge, LA.* This twenty-hour immersion course is in the use of the defensive handgun under extreme stress. Draw from concealment, two-handed stances, shooting from cover, one-handed stances with either hand, speed reloading, and more are taught with an overall emphasis on fast, accurate shot placement. The course will culminate with a police-style qualification course. Estimated ammo count: 500 rounds.
Each student will need a minimum of three (3) magazines or speed loaders. Two (2) magazines or speed loaders must be worn in a magazine pouch or speed loader holder on the student’s belt. Each student will need “muff type” ear protection and eye protection for this course.*

Prerequisite: Basic understanding of firearms safety. Participants have some proof of having passed criminal record check (a CHP will suffice). Email to discuss other options.

David Maglio is an Honorably Discharged U.S. Marine Corps Veteran that served as a Military Policeman. He is a retired Deputy Sheriff with a total of 30-years law enforcement experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

David is a Certified Firearms Instructor for the Wisconsin Department of Justice for Rifle and Handgun. He is also a Certified Instructor for the National Rifle Association in Pistol, Shotgun, Rifle, Personal Protection in the Home and Personal Protection out of the Home as well as a Range Safety Officer. David is also a Benefactor Member of the NRA.

David is a “5 Gun Master” as well as a State and Regional Champion for the International Defensive Pistol Association (www.idpa.com). He has been the Assistant Match Director for Wisconsin State IDPA Champion-ship Matches and is also certified as a Range Safety Officer for the IDPA as well as being a Charter Life Member of IDPA.
