    Our September 600y Field Precision Rifle Match at Palo Alto will be held this Saturday 9/9/2017.
    Registration starts at 0715 and ends at 0800. First rounds down range around 0830.

    600y Field Precision Rifle match at Palo Alto will be held the second Saturday of every month.
    Registration is from 0715 to 0800, with first rounds down range at 0830.
    Entry fee is $20, and prizes will be awarded by class.

    F-Class Field Precision Rifle (FPR)

    A. A rifle restricted to a bore diameter no larger than .35 caliber.
    B. Barrel length is limited to 30"; measured from forward edge of recoil lug to crown of barrel.
    C. Repeater style actions only (blind or detachable magazines). Must be loaded and fired from the magazine. Blind/detachable magazine must be loaded to capacity, and then fed from during the course of fire. Rounds cannot single fed from the magazine.
    D. Rifle must be fired off a bipod, rigidly attached to the rifles forend or sling. Bipod must be folding leg design commercially manufactured and will be included in rifles overall weight. Use of *Ski Type* bipods are prohibited.
    E. Sight magnification will be restricted to 25 power maximum. Higher power magnification optics are allowed, but must be kept to no higher than 25x. It will be checked on the line. Maximum weight including all attachments is 22 pounds. No minimum power optics will be required, but you will be shooting 600 yards, so keep that in mind.
    F. No portion of the rifles butt or pistol grip may rest on the ground or any hard surface. A rear bag will be allowed for shooting.
    G. Muzzle brakes are allowed. If you are muzzle brake sensitive, this probably isn’t the match for you.
    H. Legal silencers are allowed and will not be included in barrel maximum length.

    There will be a 3 minute prep time prior to each string.
    All firing is done from 600 yards on MR-1FC targets (3* X-ring).

    Eye and Ear protection required in pits
    Empty Chamber Indicators required
    At min 68 rounds of ammo will be needed.
    Please show with a good 100y zero on your rifle.

    Field Precision August 12, 2017 at Palo Alto

    31 shooters showed for our March Field Precision Rifle Match at Palo Alto. Thanks Rick and Glen for your help calling the line. Special thanks to everyone that helped getting up the flags on the range and setting up the targets. The help is greatly appreciated.

    We had 14 shooters shooting FPR this month. Charlie Ross shot a 591-17X that earned him 1st place medal. Mickey Brinkman finished with a 589-19X that earned the 2nd place medal.

    10 shooters showed to shoot the match as an F Class match. Jerry Boudreaux continued setting the pace this month shooting a 599-30X earning him the 1st place medal. Shawn Broussard finished with a 598-35X for the 2nd place medal.

    We had 7 sling shooters month. Bill Jenkins takes the win with a 593-32X that earned him the 1st place medal. Rob Westfall finished with a 591-29X that earned him the 2nd place medal.

    Hope everyone enjoyed themselves and thank you for a safe match.
