Palo Alto High Power Match 16 September 2017

Competitors,

The monthly NRA approved across the course high power match is on for this
Saturday the 16th of September. Registration takes place from 7 am to 8
am with first rounds going downrange no later that 8:45.

There will be a work party after the match this Saturday to move dirt to
either side of the 600 yard firing line. I would appreciate your help in
completing this task which has been assigned to our shooting discipline.
Please bring a wheel barrow and shovel if you can. If we all pitch in it
should not take long at all to give the firing line a finished look.

That said, the Bayou State Regional High Power Across the Course match
scheduled for 20-22 October 2017 has been canceled for lack of interest.
On Saturday 21 October there will be a non-approved match for which the
entry fee will be $5.00. There will be a match that day but it will not
be approved. The Friday team match and the Sunday Leg match are
canceled. Looking forward, the regularly scheduled XTC match in March
of 2018 is the 17th of March and there will be an EIC Leg match the next
day on Sunday the 18th.

As usual, I will send out an email this Friday confirming that this
Saturday's match is a go.

The High Power Across the Course rifle match is on for tomorrow at the
Palo Alto range. Summer is not over yet so be sure to bring plenty of
re-hydrating fluids. But it shouldn't be that bad. (I'll let you know
when to start bringing cold weather gear.) Registration tomorrow is the
usual 0700 to 0800. $12.00 for members of Palo Alto. $15.00 for
non-members and $5.00 for junior shooters. We will have at least one
junior tomorrow.

I have not been able to answer emails this week. If you sent one to me
know that I will get to it with a reply.

There is a work party tomorrow after the match. We need to move some
dirt into place at either end of the 600 yard firing line to finish and
neaten things up. I would very much appreciate your help. The dirt has
been dropped off at both ends of the firing line. We need only move it
into place and smooth it. If everyone pitches in it should not take
long. Please bring a shovel and if you have room, a wheelbarrow. And
again, thank you.

Any chances of rain I simply reject out of hand. See you tomorrow!

Attached please find the match results for the 16 September High Power Across the Course (XTC) match conducted at Palo Alto. The next XTC match will be held on Saturday the 21st of October. Since the Regional match was canceled, this 21 October match is not an approved NRA match which means that the scores will not be turned in to the NRA. So the entry fee will be only $5.00. This will be the standard Regional format 80 shot match. Registration opens at 0700 and closes at 0800. If you require any support or have any questions please feel free to contact me.
