I love mine! Great little rifle. I went TACTICOOL with this one. Its a kick in the ass to shoot and the Millet 6-18x50 focuses down very well at shorter distances....complete overkill but the price was more than right. Boringly accurate with CCI standard velocity and subs.

I almost got one, but the magazine was the deciding factor. I am going to acquire a Ruger American rimfire which uses the same magazine my 10/22 uses. A win win for me. I'm not knocking the savage as I know the gun shoots lights out, but the rotary magazine in the 10/22 just suites me better.

Great looking gun, I was going to get one as well but the American Rimfire sucked me in when they came factory threaded and reused mags I already had.

I’m a big fan of mine in 17HMR.

Strengthened up the Boyd’s stock with a make-shift chassis system using a piece of bedded aluminum c-channel, which really helped tighten up the groups. Dressed it up with a manner’s style sponge paint job also.

The magazine is definitely the major shortfall of the MKII/93 line.

I know this is an old thread, but I love my MK II!

It's a FV-SR in a MDT-LSS chassis with magpul stock, topped off with a Vortex optic. It was built to plink and learn the MRAD reticle instead of running through 6.5cm ammo! Much much cheaper option, and fun to boot!
