I started looking for some 7.62x54r for my mosin nagant, surprised to find that either no one has any or the price is way to high. Spam cans are non-existent or very high priced. What happened to make this ammo so hard to find and high priced?

I would guess it's the same reason mosins themselves have gone up, import bans. No cheap surplus coming in so factory stuff has no competition. I haven't even tried to find bulk stuff because my gun doesn't like it very much. But just about every gun shop around EBR I've been to has 20rd boxes on the shelf for $13-$15 for the wolf, tula, and ppu.

The reason mosin's and ammo have dried up is because of the conflict in the Ukrane. I have tried to sell some but people still think it's $90 a can, if you can find it.
