Hi guys and gals, forgive me if this has been covered in a past posting or if this post gets a little lengthy.

I’m looking to dissolve my trust and sell off/transfer the contents (suppressors).
These suppressors were bought from a local gun shop and they are made by AAC.
I’m not sure what form it was that was filled out at the time of purchase but I’m sure I can find out when I get home today.

So I emailed the ATF and asked how would I go about selling them and having them transferred out of my trust .
I asked about out of state buyers, and any other legalities I should know about.
The response I received was “Form 4, all instructions are on the form.”

Is that really all there is to it?
Fill out the Form 4, send it in, and wait?

I haven’t bought an NFA item in a while and I thought that I had heard things were different now with how you have to file these forms, finger prints, passport style photo, etc.......

I’d like to see if anyone here can help by providing me with the information I might need.

Also if any of the admins want to chime in on if it would be allowed of me to list these suppressors on here and I would assume they would list under the parts and accessories classified section?

Thanks everyone, hopefully I can get this going in the right direction and save someone some money on getting suppressors.

To sell to someone in state it should be just one Form 4 transfer, from your trust to the purchaser (person or trust). $200 plus paperwork

To sell to someone out of state it will likely take several transfers. A Form 4 from you to a dealer ($200 tax), a Form 3 transfer from your dealer to a dealer in the buyers state (no tax), then a Form 4 transfer from the dealer to the buyer, another $200 tax).

My guess is there isn't going to be much of a market for used suppressors considering the taxes that have to be paid.

Yes, the approved Form 4 is basically the go ahead to sell it to someone.
